YEAY: Youth workers Engage All Youngsters is a training course aimed at equipping youth workers with the skills and knowledge to better understand, attract, and engage young people (ages 13-30) in voluntary activities and social participation. The project focuses on enhancing participants’ abilities to create appealing messages, leverage online platforms, use non-formal education methods, conduct needs assessments, and apply assertive communication.
Through hands-on learning, including school visits and a mix of formal and non-formal education activities such as team-building and role-playing, participants gained empathy, reduced stereotypes, and improved their communication with young people. The course emphasized interaction, teamwork, and cultural exchange, helping youth workers develop confidence and personal skills, especially those facing economic, geographical, cultural, or social obstacles.
The project strengthened youth workers’ capacity to promote greater youth involvement and active citizenship, contributing to more inclusive and engaged communities.
