As part of efforts to raise awareness among employers in Cyprus, as well as the wider public, we are pleased to share further information about the project SignMeIn – Signing My Right to Inclusive Employment. The project is co-funded under the EUPP5 – EU Presidency Project 2024–2026, with the support of the European Union. In Cyprus, the project is carried out by CARDET. in collaboration with YETF.
The initiative focuses on empowering Deaf individuals by providing specialized training on how to create video-based CVs in sign language, accompanied by subtitles. In addition, a dedicated section will be developed on our website, allowing employers to access and review participant profiles more easily.
Alongside these actions, targeted awareness-raising activities will be organized for employers to promote inclusive hiring practices. The project will also conclude with a networking event, bringing together employers and candidates to foster meaningful connections. The overall goal is to bridge the gap between young people’s skills and employment opportunities, while promoting equal access and more inclusive practices within the labour market.
